About Emma Streeter

I started drawing on my bedroom walls at the age of two and was fortunately encouraged to continue onto paper . Our early holidays were accompanied by a sketch pad which taught me to observe my surroundings. I have since honed my skills at art school in oils, acrylics, inks, and experimenting with mixed media.

My appreciation of landscape painting and colour palette has been enhanced by continued study of admired artists. Painting alongside the late Philip MacLeod Coupe en plein air and his introduction to the Scottish Colourists influenced my palette and the need to create vibrant and expressive work

Principal works are landscapes, still life, nudes and wildlife. Having been brought up Cumbria, landscapes are my main love. I am at my happiest on a mountain with a canvas and palette knife chasing an ever-changing view.

Married to a wildlife photographer @tomstreeterphotography I am provided with a continuous source of wildlife images which offer opportunities to explore new material.

Most of my work comes from commissions in oil, acrylics, and ink.

I specialise in creating striking art to sit within an interior design scheme that complements the desired aesthetic.

I currently spend my time between Cumbria and the Southeast.

Enquiries and commissions are welcome, please contact me.
